First Visit

The SEE-iN Portal provides you with access to a broad range of linkages to information and intelligence across the South East England Region.

SEE-iN is under continual development to enable better dissemination and understanding of information and intelligence available on the South East region. To achieve this aim SEE-iN is regularly identifying new intelligence sources such as statistics, research, reports, strategies, maps and analysis, to meet the changing needs of a range of users.

This section provides details of how you can navigate around the SEE-iN site to find the information you require.

Some of the content on this site requires software plugins to be installed on your computer.  If you don't already have these they area available to download for free from Adobe.

How to use the SEE-iN Portal to find data?

There are two main routes to data through SEE-iN.  For direct access to data, select the Data Hub.  This section will provide you with access to a wide range of datasets, along with the tools to analyse or download the data.

For research, data and documents held by other organisations, you should select one of the following:

  1. Research Database- including reports and raw data sets.
  2. Document Library- including policy, strategy and consultation documents.
  3. Map Chest - including thematic maps of the region.

Each data source is categorised by theme;

  • Environment
  • Economy
  • Labour Market & Skills
  • Health
  • Society
  • Infrastructure

You can browse through each of these categories and search the listings by the month and year the data was produced.  By using the Advanced Search function you can search for content by key words and narrow your search with a variety of parameters.

How can I contact someone about a data source query?

Each data source has metadata attributes which will normally contain contact details to a person or the owning organisation.  Otherwise contact SEE-iN at info@see-in.co.uk.

How do I know the sources of information are reliable, well informed and been quality assured?

SEE-iN provides links to intelligence that is owned by third party organisations.  It is therefore the responsibility of host organisations to ensure reliable and up-to-date intelligence sources, and for users to contact host organisations regarding any quality issues.  For details on the data held by the Data Hub, see the terms and conditions on those pages.

How do I request content to be added to the portal?
