Demonstrating the Case for Culture

Demonstrating the Case for Culture

This publication, supported by the Southeast Cultural Observatory (SECO), examines how culture contributes to wider regional objectives such as those highlighted in the Regional Economic Strategy for the South East 2006-2016. It does this by studying the contribution made by nine specific cultural projects in the South East, how they have been evaluated and the sorts of evidence which they provide. The case studies featured are:- Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, Chatham Historic Dockyard, Evolving City (Oxford), Great South Run (Portsmouth), Jubilee Library (Brighton), Racing South East, Rural Ways, Slough Creative Academy and Towner on the Town (Eastbourne).
