Health Inequalities Intervention Tool

This tool, developed by the Association of Public Health Observatories and the Department of Health, enables users to test out the impact of changes in a range of evidence-based policy interventions on their local life expectancy gap.

It is designed to help Spearhead Primary Care Trusts and partner local authorities in developing their LDP (Local Development Plan) plans and commissioning commitments in support of achieving the PSA (Public Sector Agreements) life expectancy target, and aligning them with their LAA (Local Area Agreement) plans.

As the tool is currently a prototype, and will be developed further, London Health Observatory are inviting any feedback you have on its usefulness in assisting LDP planning and other action to reduce health inequalities. Please send any comments to jfitzpatrick@lho.org.uk .
