Supporting Information on Local Authorities for Mid-Year Population Estimates

Supporting information for local authorities on mid-year population estimates provides information at a more detailed level than standard National Statistics data. Please read the Population Estimates Unit terms and conditions of use also accessible from the link provided.

At the subnational level, these data reflect the local authority and health area administrative boundaries that were in place on 1 April 2006.

A number of data sets produced by the Office for National Stiatistics' (ONS) Population Estimates unit are classified as National Statistics. Other data and supporting information including unit data, single year of age data at sub-national level and component data are NOT National Statistics. These data have been made available because ONS is obliged to release them under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. These data may not meet the stringent requirements made of National Statistics data and are fit only for certain purposes.
