Energy Use: 2005 and 2006 Regional and Local Authority estimates

The Department of Energy and Climate Change have released the following datasets:

  1. 2006 and revised 2005 Local Authority (NUTS4) and Government Office Region (NUTS1) level consumption estimates of non gas, non electricity and non road transport fuels (including coal, manufactured solid fuels, non road transport petroleum and renewables).
  2. 2006 and revised 2005 Local Authority and Government Office Region levels of total energy consumption
  3. Revised combined regional front-ends for 2005 and 2006, bringing together all the datasets for each year in a single file
  4. Revised 2005 high level indicators of energy use at regional and local authority level

These datasets and reports were previously due to be released on 23rd December 2008, but publication has been brought forward following the early release of Local and Regional CO2 Emissions Estimates, on which these datasets rely.

Articles on these datasets will be available in the December 2008 edition of Energy Trends which will be published on 23rd December.
