Changes of ownership by dwelling price, 2006

This update, supplied by the Land Registry and Communities and Local Government, is drawn from the Land Register. The data provides information on the total number of changes of ownership of dwellings, with statistics on the prices paid. These figures are broken down by four specific types of dwelling (detached, semi-detached, terraced and flats). The data is comprehensive and is a reliable indicator of actual prices paid and a good reflection of market values. This dataset covers all 1,281,746 dwelling transactions during 2006.

Information on changes of ownership of dwellings by price, give an insight into the activity of the local housing market, level of migration within local areas and identify potential barriers to housing. The statistics are available down to Middle Layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs).
