On the same map? A snapshot of the relationships between UK energy policy and the English Regions
Amongst the many challenges for the new Secretary of State at the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), he needs to make sure his and other departments engage much more effectively with the regions in the delivery of energy policy priorities.
This short study from the Centre for Sustainable Energy exposed a limited understanding and a lack of systematic consideration across Whitehall of the key roles regional bodies can play in supporting the delivery of national energy policy. As a result, valuable opportunities to stimulate and align regional action with national priorities are being missed.
