BERR has released consumption statistics for fuels used in road transport at regional and local levels, which are available below.
In March 2008 this dataset gained National Statistics status. This applies to all data from 2005 onwards. Please note that the 2002, 2003 and 2004 datasets are still classed as experimental statistics.
In addition to the work produced above there are also plans to release the following:
- Updated local authority maps of electricity, gas and total energy consumption (Summer 2008);
- 2006 local authority and government office regional consumption of non - gas, non - electricity and non - road transport fuels (December 2008);
- 2007 local authority and government office region consumption of gas (December 2008);
- 2007 local authority and government office region consumption of electricity (December 2008).
