The latest National Statistics on the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector produced by BERR.

Small and Medium Enterprise Statistics include data for England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and each of the English regions for the start of 2007. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 22nd August 2007 (UK data) and 20th December 2006 (regional data).

The data shows the number of enterprises, employment and turnover by size and sector of business.
