Travel to Work flows data from 2001 Census
This initial release from NOMIS provides travel to work data from the 2001 Census at local authority level. The dataset provides information about the travel patterns of workers from their residence to their workplace.
The total number of journeys can be broken down by the characteristics of the people travelling. Seven tables provide information covering:
- Age
- Family status
- Method of travel to work
- NS-SeC
- Industry
- Ethnic group
- Employment status
This data is available from NOMIS, a dedicated labour market statistics resource provided by the Office for National Statistics. If you have not already done so, you will need to register to access this service.
