RSS FeedsRegional Energy Statistics update
New releases
The following new information has been released as part of the Department of Energy and Climate Change regional energy project:
- 2007 electricity and gas estimates at middle layer super output area (MSOA) level
- 2006 high level indicators of energy use at local authority (NUTS4), NUTS3 and government office region (NUTS1) level
- Quality Indicators for the 2007 regional and local authority level electricity and gas consumption data:
An article on these datasets can be found in the March 2009 edition of Energy Trends, along with an article comparing consumption patterns within selected regions and local authorities.
Future work
In addition to the work produced above there are also plans to release the following:
- Updated local authority maps of electricity, gas and total energy consumption (Spring 2008);
- 2007 local authority (NUTS4) and government office regional (NUTS1) level road transport fuels estimates (June 2009);
- 2007 local authority (NUTS4) and government office regional (NUTS1) level non-gas, non-electricity and non-road transport fuels estimates (December 2009).
