Vacancy - Office for National Statistics: Regional Analyst, South West region

The Office for National Statistics has a vacancy for a Regional Analyst to join the team in the South West. The deadline for application is December 5th: further details (link to external website).

Directors and Trustees sought for CLES (Centre for Local Economic Strategies)

CLES is a charitable company and independent national thinking and doing organisation working in the fields of regeneration, economic development and local governance. With subscribers and clients around the country, we provide an information service, run events, conduct policy research and undertake consultancy assignments via our subsidiary, CERN Ltd (trading as CLES Consulting).

CLES is growing in terms of size, turnover and influence. Therefore, to equip the organisation with the appropriate governance, the Boards of CLES and CERN wish to recruit new members who can reflect CLES’s ambition and its growing reputation as the UK forum for debating, thinking about and delivering successful local economic development and regeneration.

Observatories have been developed in the English regions to support regional policy making through the provision of high quality information and analysis.  Observatories work closely with regional bodies such as Regional Development Agencies, Regional Assemblies and Government Offices in the region to maximise the quality and accessibility of the evidence base available to support policy making and service delivery.  More...
