UK Equality Standard Seminar - places still available
Free places are still available for the UK Equality Standard Seminar that takes place in Belfast on 4 December 2008. The theme of this year's event is From Learning to Action. It is an excellent opportunity for governing bodies and sports organisations to work towards the Equality Standard to learn and share best practice and also to gain a greater undertanding of equality in sport.

Sir Alex calls for big investments in grassroots sport
Sir Alex Ferguson has backed the drive to get more people of all ages involved in sport. The Manchester United manager was speaking at Broadoak School, in Trafford, Manchester, where he opened a £2m community sports centre which will benefit both pupils and local people.
